Gielinor is a planet in the Jagex Nebula. It was created by the transcendental being known as Guthix, in its First Age. It survives until its Tenth Age, where it is destroyed by Angeror.
Gielinor is classed as a level-3 planet by Galactic Law and the Shadow Proclamation, rendering the world legal protection. The inhabitants call their world RuneScape, but recently use its proper name more often.
Gielinor started to change in its Fifth Age, when they first realized they are not alone in the Universe. Aliens started to invade frequently, even through time itself. The worst one was Angeror, who ended up destroying it.
Gielinor is home to many races, including humans, dwarves, gnomes, ogres, giants, goblins, vampyres, werewolves, trolls and many more. Any natives to Gielinor are either called Gielinorian or Runescapian.

- Seventh Age: Gielinor becomes a huge mega-city.
- Eighth Age: Nuclear wars make Gielinor nearly inhabitable.
- Ninth Age: Gielinor becomes a huge wasteland, with some humans living there. Future Horrors also rule. (TF: Future Armageddon)
- Tenth Age: Destroyed, along with the death of Angeror. (RP: Revenge of the Alone Ones)
