The Forged Islands are a pair of islands that were formerly inhabited by humans. After an Acid Slug caused a poison to contaminate the water supply, most of the humans that lived on the islands left their homes to go back to the mainland of Gielinor. The monsters that dwell on the islands eventually fed on their ruins. Many powerful monsters, such as dragons and demons, reside on the islands, and some are even unique to only the islands. Even stronger monsters reside on the Eastern Forge. The islands comprise of the mainland known as the Western Forge, a small wadeable lagoon nearby called the Forged Lagoon, the smaller but more dangerous Eastern Forge, and the Split River. The only human living on the island, Bagred, lives by his use of Handpower and can be found Handfishing.
